The Manor on the cliff. Philza and his sons live here. His wife does not (she travels quite extensively)
Dandelion BoyTommy is the son of the most powerful witch in Esempi - but he's pretty much a disappointment. He can barely cast magic at all, lost more fights than most of his family combined, and could never fully grasp redstone engineering. But a little mushroom creature in the mountains offers to change all of that - and does. But, as I'm sure you can gather, not all is as it seems.
TeulefotoOf all the photo projects to get you possessed, of course it's gonna be the Halloween contest.October, 1987 - Tommy decides to prove himself to his prodigy of a brother Techno and shoot some awesome and terrifying photos that are sure to win the photo club's horror contest. Before he can even get the film developed, though, his life starts to turn upside-down at the hands of a mysterious creature that only calls itself Dream. Also, Ranboo can see ghosts.
Waves Won't Keep Me Company (like you did when we were young)Tommy has feared mers all his life - elusive creatures of the ocean, the only remaining form of magic in the world, only surviving because they were so far from the touch of man. But they were more than elusive - they were evil, merciless, human-killing machines that killed his mother when he was six.At least, that's what he thought. Until he came face-to-face with an obelisk of ancient magic that turned him into a mer.okay full disclosure this one started as an h2o au but i promise it gets fun quick
Of Gods and ChildrenWhen Tubbo was twelve, he and his best friend fished an occult book out of
their brother's trash can and ended up with a god in hiding in their own closet. He was kind, if not a bit overbearing, and what kid doesn't dream of being friends with an all-powerful-being?Eight years later, Tommy and his best friend Ranboo are exploring the southern mountains on a gap year trip when they discover a strange house quite literally tucked away in a cave, a mansion filled with magic and, strangest of all, an odd familiarity that they can't quite put their fingers on. All they know is that they're not leaving that damn house without the kid named Tubbo.

The Garden (working title idk man)
Ranboo has never been particularly brave, he supposes. He's always been running away from his problems, and this is no different. Except now, his problems are less failed tests and high school drama and more... well, death. So, he gets a job at a botanical garden in a small town far, far from where he grew up, and settles into what he thinks will be a life of running. That is, until he meets a strange boy with an aura of grief and magic in the garden who completely flips Ranboo's life into chaos.
The Midas TwinsA century ago, the world was blossoming with science and magic - mankind was reinventing itself in all sorts of ways (mostly unregulated). In the wake of the discovery of magic rose interest in immortality, and one man with a dream holed himself up in a lab to try and crack its code. He called it the Midas Project, and it became infamous in its fall - when the search for immortality was deemed unethical, Dream and his project disappeared, leaving behind a mystery that, strangely enough, no one dared solve.A hundred years later, Ranboo has a friend who can sense ghosts, and a deep passion for the Midas case. He takes his ghosty friend, Tubbo, into the old dilapidated lab and find far, far more than they ever bargained for.
A Promise Made on WaterwillowTwo mansions sit side-by-side in the desolate remains of what was twice a glorious society of builders and magic - one inhabited by a family made of cobbled-together people abandoned by war, the other by a man, a god, and a child he stole. Tommy, the child, finds a friend in a boy named Tubbo on the other side of the fence, and they dream of escape. It comes sooner than they plan, when one night Tommy's home goes up in flames. He runs to Tubbo in Snowchester Manor, thinking it's over. But of course it's not. When you have a deal with a god, death is nothing but an inconvenience.

Girlfriends - Girlfriends
Album, 2009

A holothelix classic. A perfect encapsulation of the roaring, frothing emotions of late teenhood-early adulthood, captured in an 11-song album filled with quick, layered riffs and an undeniably morose undertone.Lasting only 22 minutes (perfect for my drive to work, which happens to be the same length), the captivating melodies and frantic, driving drumlines leave you wanting more. Jerry Joiner's lyricism is steeped in metaphor, and is often shouted or chanted over the instrumentals in a perfectly gig-friendly, bodies-crowding-around-the-stage sort of way.Best song - The Apocalypse Made Me Brave
Favorite song - Untitled 5

Another quick, math-rock-y, snippy album, this one is full-length at 52 minutes. Captivating synths, horns, and more chanting open this album with a song about tennis. Yes, tennis. And it's beautiful. While the songs can leave some to be desired, being rather repetitive (rarely do they ever have more than two verses in a song), I find that the melodies and keys used are furious enough to keep my interest and leave me wondering. Lyrics are, once again, rather hard to figure out at first listen - which is just how I like them. And there's a deluxe edition with 9 extra songs!Best song - Tron

Something a little different. I am, surprisingly even to myself, a jazz enjoyer, and though I'm only just barely dipping my toe in, this album is a masterpiece. Jumping right into the first song, it explodes into life with lively piano and soft percussion, and that energy carries through the whole album. My father calls this one "the perfect Sunday morning album."I highly recommend this album, just in general. It's beautiful and lively and winds its way through a beautiful soundscape.Best song - Are We There Yet and Have You Heard
Favorite song - Have You Heard
Trick of the Tail - Genesis
Album, 1976
9/10
The introduction to early Genesis. If you know Brother Bear, you'll probably recognize the lead singer here, Phil Collins (who was actually mainly the drummer prior to this album). Though this was Genesis' first album without Peter Gabriel, they still hold an impressive storytelling ability, as well as an incredible instrumental talent.Another full length album at 51 minutes, each song on this album captures a different story. From ancient gods to simple London thieves and even the healthcare system, this album takes you on a wild journey that you'll want to take again and again.Best song - A Trick of the Tail

a day in bel bruit - Lilien Rosarian
9/10
Album, 2019
To the lovers of liminal spaces, the abandoned and left behind, and technologies of the past, this one is for you. a day in bel bruit explores the empty streets of a long-abandoned town, with nothing left of the life that used to exist there other than the lone satellite dish built on the bell tower that connects to nothing and everything. This album is a truly beautiful soundscape, and haunts most of my playlists and my writing sessions.Best song - the marketplace and theme for empty village
Favorite song - dead flowers still seem to smile
Tispur - Tispur
9/10
Album, 2022
If the album cover wasn't enough of a giveaway, this album is overflowing with whimsy. Tispur's gentle voice lays to rest equally gentle and vivid lyrics, painting visions of myth and fairytale through which to view life. There's a magic in this album that I still haven't quite placed, but it's captivating, and ever so sweet to the ears.Best song - Moon in Moods and Bluest Blue
Favorite song - Moon in Moods
Tourist History - Two Door Cinema Club
Album, 2010
9/10
I'm sure this album needs no introduction. Home to bangers such as Something Good Can Work, What You Know, and Undercover Martyn, this album is a certified classic. While not as masterful as the previous albums listed here, it's still captivating, full of energy and interesting lyrics that anyone can relate to. With snappy synths and lively, dancey beats, this album is wonderful to hear live, on the radio, or just in your day-to-day.Best song - Cigarettes in the Theatre
Favorite song - I Can Talk
Shrines - Infinity Frequencies
Album, 2012
8/10
Another album for those fascinated with the nostalgia and lingering artifacts of the recent past, Shrines is a compilation of a number of different samples from various sources across the 80s and 90s, looped into full length songs. It's not Infinity Frequencies best work - of course, as it's the first album. But it perfectly captures the feeling of a dream stolen from late-night infomercials and the loneliness of a TV left on in a dark building.Best song - Tower View
